Siiri Spronken (Beek 1960) was born into an artist family. Her mother was the Finnish painter Varpu Tikanoja, and her father is the Dutch sculptor Arthur Spronken. From her twenties, after a brief period at the Maastricht City Academy, she started exhibiting. Since 1985, she has been living and working in Arensgenhout with the sculptor Thomas Junghans and their two daughters, Raan and Nuria.
